I Know I am made for more. There are giftings and callings in my life that I have not fulfilled.
I know my mind is more powerful than I realize and now utilize. Periodically, I hear of the story of someone who accomplished something like healing their body, coming up with an idea that is huge, or some other tale of astounding feat that boggles the mind. That helps to bring home a sense that we are more than what we know or understand, and warrants further exploration and development.
There seems to be another world to be discovered inside, if we dare. Why is it that we are so easily satisfied with the status quo and mediocrity, when there is such higher levels that can be attained? There are many examples of people who did not settle, and became legendary achievers. Why do so few seek to do the same?
When I first read this quote, it disturbed my comfort zone and got my attention, but also was freeing:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberate others.”Marianne Williamson
I have been trying to live that, and have seen that fulfilled on more than one occasion, where stepping out and being a leader where it wasn’t safe allowed others to also step up and follow. But, it was not as often as could have been due to my self-limiting. Now, I realize and expect that there is much more to come…
Looking forward to the fruit that this course of training will bring. Seeing some of the new habits starting to take root, and glimpses of breakthroughs coming… and I am starting to get a bit excited!
