“There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear.”

1 John 4:18

“Let your light shine before men that they might see your good works…”

Matthew 5:16

“You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill, not to be hidden.”

Matthew 5:14

“Guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life”.

Proverbs 4:23

As a Believer in Christ, I have lived by these truths nearly all my life. These statements have been my close companions for decades. They are like family. And because of that, this week’s homework really resonates with my inner world. I geek out over the intersection of the Word of God and revealed scientific truth and discovery. As I read the lessons each day, new scriptures such as the ones above “pop” out at me and confirm what I am reading in my spirit.

As a Physical Therapist, I’ve always been interested in the study of the human body. This week has really been fun! I enjoy learning about the Solar Plexus as the source of this Light and the seat of the subconscious. I’m fascinated by the fact that it feeds into the heart of the body which also carries memory! Last week we learned that the Conscious mind is the ‘Guardian’ of the Subconscious. This is why we need to guard our hearts. In the Master Key Experience we are learning to let our Light shine from the Solar Plexus with Love for the world around us. We are learning that fear is like a cloud that covers the sun and that we must overcome that darkness.

School taught us that the Vagus nerve is the connection between the central nervous system and the autonomic nervous system. This week we read that the CNS represents the Conscious mind and the ANS represents the Subconscious. My mind is exploding with excitement over this revelaton! It’s all starting to make sense. The Vagus nerve is responsible for communication between the brain and the gut, helps with relaxation during deep breathing, decreases overall inflammation, lowers the heart rate and blood pressure, and helps us manage fear.

It all fits together like a beautiful tapestry.
