I love getting flowers, and my most favorites of all are the ones my middle daughter would pick for me. Even a bouquet of dandelions would take precedence over any other bouquet because they were a depiction of my daughter’s love and kindness. What a huge impact a simple gesture can make.
And this week’s kindness challenge reminded me of just how simple and easy it is to brighten someone’s day in just a few minutes, and even seconds…
A simple smile to a stranger you pass on the street.
A compliment which makes a person’s eyes light up.
Lending an ear to someone who needs to talk.
A hug….
Kindness is service, and the funny thing is, as we serve others with kindness, we are also serving ourselves because of how good it makes us feel.
But what I valued the most this week by focusing on kindness, was that it also helped me during challenging moments when I was feeling down….by taking the attention off of my problem and focusing on others and thinking about what I can do to brighten their day.
The best things in life truly are free….
People most likely won’t remember what you said or what you did, but they WILL remember how you made them feel.
Great depiction of Kindness, and it is usually free!
What a sweet post. You are so right, Stefanie, the best things in life are absolutely for free! ❤️🤗
I love your perspective Stefanie, good for you – those simple kindnesses are so valuable, even if they are free!
As we serve others with kindness we are also serving ourselves….thank you!
People do remember how you make them feel! Love this Stephanie, thank you.
They absolutely will, Stefanie!
This sentence made my day, Stephanie, “People most likely won’t remember what you said or what you did, but they WILL remember how you made them feel.” Nice! 🙂
Stefanie!! You could not have written this post any better than the way you did. I totally agree that people don’t remember what you said but how you made them feel! Thank you for reminding us of the simplicity in kindness and how it can be the solution to our own challenges.
Way to be the observer Stefanie and fully engage in the Law of Growth…Kindness is a blessing for us all.
