The following phrase in the Master Key week 16 section 16 was really impactful.
“It is by the exercise of this power that we take our fate out of the hands of chance, and consciously make for ourselves the experiences which we desire, because when we consciously realize a condition, that condition will eventually manifest in our lives; it is therefore evident that in the last analysis thinking is the one great cause in life.”
Charles Haanel, The Master Key Experience, Section 16
At times we become so involved with life that we forget to, or chose not to, do what we know will make a difference. As noted in the above paragraph, by doing the exercises, we take the fate back into our hands and make our desire possible.
We manifest the reality of what we want in life. It takes time and work and focus in order to do so. As the old saying says “What we focus on grows”.
So why focus on not having enough money? Or why focus on how much debt you have? Or whatever you are missing in this life? We are rewarded by those around us that sharing something negative is more valuable than something positive.
People want to know that they are doing better than you. Or it makes them feel better when someone is doing worse than them. When you are doing well and are successful it makes others feel worse and then they say or do things that might not be helpful or positive.
Or in the worst case scenario they will move on to others who are not doing well and make them feel good in the process. So that leaves in a quandary, do you stay positive and have people around you not knowing how to react? Or do you revert back to the negative and be “accepted” so you don’t lose these “friends”?
In this case it is mostly all or nothing. So how to proceed? Do you follow the enlightened path, see what happens and hope for the best? Or do you take the enlightened path and manifest a new peer group?
As I am thinking and writing this article, it is something that is resonating with me and has a grain of truth in my current reality. Not a fun realization but nonetheless true.
As Mark has said in previous sessions you all of a sudden notice things like the people who have the same car as you do. I find that I am seeing this message coming at me in different ways.
They say that the Universe throws a pebble at you and if you don’t learn what you need to learn then a brick is thrown at you and if that doesn’t work then a house is thrown at you. So, I better focus and notice the things I want!
I love how you explained this to a “T” in a very simple and understandable way! I truly believe and agree with what you wrote! Thank You very much.
Right on, Suzette, “What we focus on grows”! Let’s continue to focus our thoughts and minds on things that are desirable and uplifting! You are such an inspiration, Suzette! Thank you for all your polo messages of cheering on and encouraging us all!
People and things come into our lives for a purpose and they leave as they came. Ours is to learn the lesson, thank them and go to the next for it continues. And the pebble, brick and house- yup!
love your pebble, brick, house example Suzette – enjoy your MKE week and may it be free of flying bricks and houses 🙂
