According to the dictionary kindness is defined as the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. The exercise we are doing this week, focusing on the kindness, doing acts of kindness and hugs, has been eye opening and its only day 2.
I go out of my way to be kind to those I know and to total strangers, what about the girl in the mirror? Yes, the girl in the mirror is me, being kind to myself, reinforces that I am deserve kindness. I am surrounded by the most generous kind human being in all areas of my life, including myself. I am kind. Kindness multiplies when you give, receive and share random acts of kindness.
Being kind extends to all that you do and where you go. The kindness within allows you lead, and show up from your true self, your heart. Intentionally being kind, allows for a pause, a pause when a situation may cause you not to show up kind, you have a choice to be kind. As I say to my Horses, when one of them is being cranky with the other, kindness matters. Kindness does matter! Sprinkle it everywhere you go.
Being kind to our animals is not always the easiest thing, especially when they are cranky! You are a super kind person, and I appreicate you as a friend and a Mastermind Partner!
A nice presentation of Kindness.
Yes I find the gal in the glass needs a lot more kindness for herself.
Lynn, your post really resonated with me. I find that it’s easy to be kind to others, however for the gal in the mirror….well….seems she needs a few more doses of that elixir of life! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your (kind) reminder to be kind to the gal in the glass. I think we all can benefit a lot more of that kind of kindness.
Isn’t it interesting how easy it is to not think of ourselves and be kind? So glad you are loving the girl in the glass!
Kindness, Lynn? No kidding! 😉
I love your image of sprinkling kindness! And thanks for the reminder to be kind to ourselves. We would never talk to others the way we are tempted to berate ourselves!
Sometimes the horses show us what we are and remind us of what we can be.
Glad you included kindness for the gal in the glass!
