MKE Week 1 – The journey to the mountain top
I am so looking forward to this course, to be pushed so far outside of my comfort zone that I have to climb a mountain to look back and see where I used to be. What a great experience so far, and it is only week one.
I have spoken with my family and close friends, and I have informed them, to the best of my understanding, of the journey to the mountain top I am undertaking. I have been granted their support and to have this support means a lot to me, especially when I am doing and saying things that are totally out of character from the person that they knew.
As I read and re-read the lesson plan and the Greatest Salesman, I am reminded that even though one can read the same words written by the same author, those words can speak to you in different ways with the only change being ‘when’ they are read.
When I sit in silence, allowing my mind to wander, I sometimes see myself on a mountain top, and I smile, knowing what it took to get there and reflecting how challenging it was, and how much work it took to do something so simple.
As far as I can tell, every lesson and every action required in this course, has a specific purpose to helping achieve a better all-around person, and making the world just a little bit better. Something that we all want…right? I am committed to doing just that.
See you all at the top.
Welcome to your mountaintop, Robert! The view is always the best from there!

Yes, Robert, see you at the top. Glad you are seeing a great outcome of MKE.
You are correct, Robert – every lesson, action, every exercise does have a purpose, and it is exciting to see how it unfolds as the weeks go on! Glad to have you with us this year!
One thing you’re discovering as you go through this course is how much meaning everything has. That’s made even greater with your presence this year. Great first post, Robert! 🙂
