MKE Week 1 – A Complete Change of Direction

Beginning on Sunday, 9/25/2022, I began the journey to sharpen my focus and discover my purpose in life through the Master Key Experience.
So far, I have made a complete change of direction for the better. Here are some examples:

Make Better Use of Time:
All three authors, Charles F. Haanel of “The Master Key System,” Napoleon Hill of “Think and Grow Rich,” and Og Mandino of “The Greatest Salesman in the World” all advise me to replace my unhealthy, unproductive, and in general bad habits with healthy, productive and good habits for at least 30 days. Of course, the longer a new good habit is practiced, the more permanent the change will be.
For example, I used to watch Youtube videos for hours right before bedtime, leave the phone on, watch more videos at 3 or 4AM when I get up to use the bathroom, and use the phone to check my emails immediately upon getting up. Now, I turn off the phone at 8PM and I don’t turn on the phone the next morning until after I have done all the Master Key Experience reading and meditation exercises. This one change of habit saves me 5-6 hours a day at least. Thank you, the Master Key Experience for instilling this good habit in me.

Guard the World Within:
Because Haanel wrote, “The world without is a reflection of the world within,” I guard my thoughts like a watchman guards a castle full of priceless treasures.
I used to let my judgmental, prideful, greedy, lustful, envious, slothful thoughts run amok. Now, I catch myself when I think or daydream in an unhealthy way and redirect my thoughts to a healthier path. I am getting better at replacing a harmful thought with a healing thought.
For instance, recently I wanted to curse a driver who just cut in front of my car recklessly and almost made me hit him, but I caught myself and decided not to do it. I went on to replacing that murderous thought with a kind and calm one.
Of course, I don’t do it well all the times. I still revert back to the old habit when angry or frustrated, but I catch myself and calm myself down quickly. I still need to do a lot of work to restore my inner world to be peaceful, serene, and harmonious. It’s a work in progress and I am glad it’s well under way.

Tap into the Universal Mind (God):
“Be still and know that I AM God.” I feel more connected to the Transcendence who is in ever atom of every cell of every being. Being connected to the Source of all creation is like me being plugged back into an outlet for a recharge after being out of battery.
I used to be outer-directed or focus all my attention on the objective conscious mind or sense mind: sight, sound, taste, touch, light, heat, odor, etc… Now, I like to sit still for 25 minutes and tap into the subjective subconscious mind. The sitting time has calmed me greatly.
I feel that I move through my day with peaceful stillness (and not watching all those Youtube videos and being all distracted helps tremendously.)

So far, so good. It’s only the first week and it is already earth-shattering!
“Life is an unfoldment,” Haanel wrote, and I believe it to be true. I hope it will revolutionize and change my life permanently because I was made for goodness and graciousness. As are all beings on this planet! I hope the same for you!
Until next time, I wish you all the best that life has to offer!
