Loved this week. Digging deep, there is so much to share. So, rather than going here and there I start here…the root.
We learn that truth is related to the root cause and not always easily apparent. What we often focus on is the effect which is a result of the cause.
So, I think in this way. If I have a headache, this is the effect. So we go and take medication for the headache. We gain temporary relief, but it returns again and the cycle continues.
However, when we get a headache, which is the effect, and we do not take the medication, but rather, dig deeper for the cause, the truth, now we have the power to shift the effect because we know the truth, the root cause.
This is a simple example, and the lesson is powerful.
Mind is real, however, matter is ever changing. It reminds me of the vibration of life, the breathing in and out. The rhythm. The truth can shift the effect. This is created by thinking. Mind is connected and Universal, and is always taking form, always creating. We often look to physical power as having an effect.
However, there is so much more. There is mental, moral, spiritual power involved.
Example:
I went to a Celebration of Life just a few weeks ago. Her 2 grown children held this event, in honor of their mom. They revealed her creativity, her extreme and accomplished talents in the arts, painting, soprano singing, ballet, architect drawings as well as her deep love for them.
If you were there you would have seen her paintings, pictures, keepsakes of her children when young. You would have heard both her children perform music, you would have heard a soprano singer and enjoyed a ballerina from NY both performing all her favorite pieces.
It occurs to me that with all her varied talents and opportunities to pursue many careers, her deepest desire and passion was to be a mom.
She brought depth, warmth and love to her deepest passion of all, her parenting. If you did not know her and attended this event, you would have known her and her passion through her children.
To me, she demonstrates truth which is related to the root cause. I was a witness with others to the effects of her passion.
It was an honor to be sought out to be one of the attendees. May we all live into our passions, our truths, the effects which lasts.
Grateful!
This is a beautiful way to reflect on the focus on the root cause, you are the observer, the witness, and the hero, Thank you Laura!
What a wonderful and insightful way to attend a Celebration of Life! Thank you for your fabulous thoughts about what passion shared looks like in the lives of people we touch… <3
Laura! Your blog is so enlightening! Mark is smart to showcase you. So glad to be tribe together! Hugs! D.
That’s beautiful, if we had more moms like this we’d live in a different world – we have to teach out kids how to be great – mahalo for sharing this great story!
I love how you are focusing on the root! That saves so much time, energy, and money compared to the quick fixes.
Hi Laura, You have given us so much to think about today. Looking at the root instead of the cause for understanding. I enjoyed your blog.
Loving the depth of your consideration here Laura.
Your wise words ‘dig deeper for the cause, the truth, now we have the power to shift the effect because we know the truth, the root cause.’
Finding the root cause of any effect is one of the greatest treasures and gifts. It is the key to true liberation. Could anything be more valuable? Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful blog Laura! Way to be the observer and identify root causes, which you so wisely described as Truth. And once we discover our genuine Truths for ourselves, the effects (our outer world) can change for the better. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!
