For many years I have been walking a different path than most people. Taking self-development courses, reading books, and learning in other ways. I loved accumulating thoughts, facts, ideas and tons of information. Helping others was so important for me.
Many times, at the cost of my precious free time. I felt good imparting knowledge and others were happy as they got the information quickly and easily. I got significance in that moment when I gave the data.
Did providing advice give me the illusion that I was helping them? Yes, in the moment it felt like I was helping them. In the long run I made it easier for them instead of letting them learn on their own how to search for the information and discover what they needed themselves.
So, what to do now. Trust and love them that they can find their own way and I can follow my own different path. Going step by step down a path that provides me the future I am envisioning.
Knowing that others will follow the path they choose and trust the Universe to provide them the ability, knowledge and source to discover what they need. It’s time for them to learn that the search is half the fun, and the other half is having the knowledge.
Hey Suzette, Awesome Post!! Completely Agree With You Here. Sometimes They Need To Be “ Cut Loose” And Or Safely Loved From A Distance In Order To Find Their Own Way, Also So You Can Utilize Your Precious Time To Keep Finding/Developing Yours. Love It!!
