This week we started adding three gratitudes every day to our index cards.
Christmas Day starting the week was the perfect day to start. My mom moved from Chicago to Honolulu in October. My brother and I both live in Honolulu. This Christmas was the first since 2007 that we could spend with my mom. How fitting to add the first three gratitudes on this day.
Then we close out the week on New Year’s eve with all of the hope and dreams of the new year. Another reason to be grateful is my mom turns eighty-eight on New Year’s Day. It was a week when I found it very easy to be happy and keep a positive attitude about life.
The goal is to keep every week so positive and full of gratitude. I’ll keep working on it because it is possible.
Gratitude for your Mom. That’s lovely John.
Turning 88 and moving ‘country’ … she is an amazing woman.
Your persistence is paying off, John! 🙂
Wow, big changes, John! Have a great birthday celebration, today!
You’re right – it IS possible! Remember – the more we are grateful, the more things to be grateful for appear!
Happy New Year! And Happy New You!
Thanks John for inspiring us to focus on Gratitude. I am grateful for your blog post and your contributions to our MKE community.
