The last time I took MKE the part I enjoyed the most in Week 4 was giving. That’s already in my nature so it was easy to do for me. But this time something else resonates with me that I missed totally.
I certainly used the power statement “I can be what I will to be” but really skipped over what I was being told about in this section:
4-8. Those who recognize this principle have a great advantage in the affairs of life. They do not wear themselves out. They can eliminate vagrant thoughts with facility. They can readily concentrate to the highest possible degree on any subject. They do not waste time or money upon objects which can be of no possible benefit to them.
4-9. If you cannot do these things, it is because you have thus far not made the necessary effort. Now is the time to make the effort. The result will be exactly in proportion to the effort expended. One of the strongest affirmations which you can use for the purpose of strengthening the will and realizing your power to accomplish is, “I can be what I will to be”.
Charles Haanel, Master Key System
Why doesn’t my mind remember how important 4-8 was then and is now? MKE really helped me through some tough health issues and earned me a promotion back then. But this week not realizing how important the words in Part Four all go together is a real awakening. I have wasted way too much time and money on things that didn’t benefit me these past 2 years.
Four has always been my lucky number in life but rather wasting time wondering how I didn’t focus on this before, I’m adding reading it to my POA Card. I am planning on daily attention to it so it will reside in my conscious mind and Subby. Four will continue to be my “luck”.
I remember Haanel advised don’t start something if you aren’t going to finish it; we don’t want our mind thinking breaking habits is a fine thing to do. I will keep on doing the lessons of Part Four as right now, this is still the best advice I’ve heard all year………looking forward to more that is coming.
because 4 is your lucky number I went back to Haanel Part 4: paragraph 4:
“When you say “I think” the “I” tells the mind what it shall think; when you say “I go” the “I” tells the physical body where it shall go; the real nature of this “I” is spiritual, and is the source of the real power which comes to men and women when they come into a realization of their true nature.”
Debby, “you can be what you will to be.”! 🙂
Thanks for sharing this & I agree with you – this week’s Haanel is a great Lesson.
Enjoy a wonderful week being what you will to be !
Thank you, Debby
Thank you Debby. Sometimes we need more time as in when the student is ready the teacher appears.
That’s great Debby, I can really identify with your blog. Four is also my lucky number, and I believe that paragraph 8 was lost on me too. Thanks for highlighting it!
Therefore, Debby, “you can be what you will to be.” The more you get that in focus, the greater you become. You started out a single decibel, but now you are a drum! 🙂
