We have heard the phrase written in many forms, “Whatsoever things ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them”, since we were children. Isn’t it interesting that no one taught us in depth how accurate that phrase is?
Even though I wasn’t exposed to much of the bible growing up, I picked up on the idea that if you want something, you must ask for it, focus on it and believe you can achieve it. My aunt taught me to create a “treasure map” that was a board with pictures and words to represent the things you wanted or wanted to become. I even managed to manifest my first house this way, exact floor plan and all.
As my life got busy raising my girls and working, I didn’t have much time to think or read and it was years before I began to grow spiritually and work on myself. Newly married and determined to work for myself, I quickly realized my mind needed to shed years of programming I had been exposed to. I began to read and listen to books by the dozens, absorbing ideas, techniques and habits that would help me reach my goals. I learned from those who were excelling in the ways I wanted to and I began to grow.
One day I had coffee with a new friend, and she mentioned this course that she and her husband had taken, I was instantly curious. It was as though the universe had seen I needed more and had sent her to me. As the weeks rolled by, things became more and more clear.
When I reached week eleven, I began to more fully understand how as Haanel states in paragraphs 23 and 25 that “all truth is the same, but it must be told to each generation and to every people in new and different terms.” The Law of Attraction is the Law by which Faith is brought into manifestation. Once we believe that something will happen, then it will. Just as gravity hasn’t changed since the beginning of time, but it has been better understood with time, the Law of attraction has too. The Law of Attraction is a natural law like physics laws and mathematical laws, over time they have been taught and each generation takes the understanding to another level.
Now that we understand the Law of Attraction and how it can’t be stopped just like we can’t stop an apple falling from a tree, we are in a position to use it to attract what we really want!
Very true Loren!
What a great experience Wes, congratulations!
Congratulations on your experience & journey Ann!
So amazing to experience this growth & embrace the changes along the way.
I love your post! Too many people still don’t know what they want, so they don’t get what they want. The Law of Attraction is so powerful. I remember when I saw a P-3 fly an approach into Moffett Field, CA. I was in the car, and I told my wife, that this was the type of airplane I will fly someday. Three years later, I was flying that model airplane out over the Atlantic ocean and beyond. Such fun!!
Yes, Ann, changing our beliefs or keeping the ones we already desire must come first, and then the actions, whatever they may be (maybe doing nothing at all), occur spontaneously! Great blog! 🙂
