As I have been diligently taking steps with my business these last few weeks, I am noticing. I am more keenly aware that as I engage abundantly learning how I can gift and be of service to others, this is not only when I feel really great, grateful, and in true peace of heart, but that I am having fun with my sits and pondering how to be of more service.
Living this way is creating such enthusiasm in my work and all that I do.
We Learn: We are not a body with a spirit, but a spirit with a body, Haanel points out. Therefore, we are incapable of any permanent satisfaction in anything that is not spiritual. (paraphrased part 23, line 22 Master Key)
It is fascinating to become aware of how backwards the popular view in life has been, ‘we must get to give’ as it were. Yet, in reality it is the opposite. It is in helping others to prosper that we also prosper.
My heart is filled in this awareness, and it creates so much more joy in all my endeavors.
Another thing I am pondering, is the difference between being of service and being in overservice to the result of depletion. We are meant to give and then restore. We have only to notice nature to see the wisdom of ebb and flow. Regeneration is what serves us and others best. For if our bucket is depleted, how can we give. And yet, it is not in the getting that we then give, but in the restoring ourselves spiritually, emotionally and physically and mentally that we are of greatest service of all. This is not easy, especially at first awareness. My boundaries for self renewal are called into question almost daily. However, maintaining this restorative space is of the highest service to all and is in keeping with modesty.
So grateful.
How true is this Laura, Thank you for your reflection.
Reminds me of the oxygen mask Laura!
Look after number 1 and be stronger to be of service.
Great contemplation.
Open and connect to the everflowing fountain of energy from the universe. We are a spirit with a body.
Excellent point that restoration is a necessary part of being able to be of service!
Hi Laura, I loved this ” I am having fun with my sits and pondering how to be of more service.” Thank you for sharing.
Yes, Laura, it’s the service we render with you as the sender! 🙂
Laura, such insight in this blog! Bravo! Give-Rest-Renew-Give again. Especially as mothers, we can easily fall into the over giving trap. But just like in the airplane, we have to first put on our oxygen mask or we will not be able to help others out on theirs. Loved our chat this week! Grateful for you and our new friendship!
