Hello! I’m Hanalei.
Financial Educator, Human Resources Specialist, Mom, and Wife- currently impacting thousands of lives in a positive way. I have a passion to help others, the will to learn, and the drive for success.
I recently moved from Santa Cruz to Benicia and I grew up in Pacifica, CA. I am an official “Bay Area” gal as I have lived and traveled for work all around Northern California. I love spending time with my family especially having the ability to watch my 14-month-old grow and reach all her milestones. I have a lighthearted personality. I love to laugh, eat all kinds of food, and spend quality time with loved ones. I enjoy doing random activities, which can be a luxury and a downfall at times.
I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Community Health Education. I realized that wasn’t enough in today’s growing age so I went back to school and earned a Master’s in Healthcare Administration. I thought I was supposed to be a nurse as many other Filipino moms engrain in us, but realized that wasn’t the field for me. I knew working in the medical field offered job security, but I found passion in teaching and educating. At one point in my career, I was a substitute teacher, but the salary was not enough to live affordably in the Bay Area. Teaching and training others about financial education is fulfilling and can provide financial freedom so it was a win, win for me.
I recently started the Master Key Experience, which is a powerful course with personal mentors helping to guide me through the journey of self-discovery. I believe in my heart that I am destined for greatness and there is so much potential in me that is untapped, however, I have been struggling with figuring out the mental blocks which hinder me from reaching my desired goals and dreams. I am ready for the challenge and looking forward to the end of these 27 weeks.
If you want to laugh with me and my challenges through this MKE journey, then follow me, and let’s go! No hard feelings. Just learning and living!
Terrific “About me,” Hanalei! Didn’t they name a Bay after thee? 26 weeks, not 27. Slipped right past the red pencil bearer. Go ahead. Make it 28! LOL 🙂
Hi Hanalei. Nice to meet you. I can relate to the family expectations you faced. I thought I was supposed to be a doctor, because that was what my parents expected. Turns out, I was not, but it took me YEARS to figure that out and now finally follow my own path. Congratulations on taking this step for yourself, and doing it so much sooner than I did. You will be blessed by these efforts.
Great ‘about me’ post, Hanalei. I think that is great that you have a passion for helping people and have found the way to do it that works for you.
